I must say, I was really afraid to buy this because of all the negative reviews I've read, but then I said to myself, well, if it doesn't work well, I can always return it and get a refund.
Bought it at Kmart, 90 day return policy, but after I started using this, I will be keeping it for sure.
Poured water in, let it heat up a few minutes, and the steam was flowing very strong, as long as you hold the trigger, the steam will continue to come out.
The only conclusion I can come to as to why others don't have the same results is maybe there are a large amount of defective units, or maybe people aren't holding the trigger long enough to produce steam.
I've already cleaned my bathroom, my blinds and some air vents that were dirty, and it did the job! The pads were filthy from all the dirt it removed, can't wait to tackle the kitchen.
I must say I am mostly skeptical of products that claim to work wonders, they never seem to work as advertised, but for me, this one delivered! I am definitely keeping the Shark Steam Pocket.

OK so i will admit that it can get hard to hold but it does a great job!
we just moved into a foreclosed house and the house was gross! before i bought the portable steam pocket i was scrubbing everything several times to try and get it clean and nothing worked! i had the pocket mop so i used that on the floors they were easy to clean up except the wood floors (i will get to that later).
so far with this product i have cleaned all of the doors in the house, the cabinets and counter tops, walls, microwave, fridge, oven, and so much more i thought would never get clean in this house! before i got the pocket steamer i was thinking about getting new appliances, but couldn't afford to buy them, so i figured i would spend a little more to save some money. worked like a charm! my husband even uses it! he cleans the kitchen and uses it to clean the garage!
well on my quest to clean up the house i was trying to clean up the paint that was on the tile floors in the kitchen and the glue that someone had used to put the threshold down in the bathroom. i found that paint was esay to get up with the scrub brush and so is glue. so i moved onto the wood floors. paint all around the room! grrr just moved into a house and everything was a mess! started to clean and as i did more then just paint came up without damaging the floors! before this steamer my wood floor in the living room was covered in gross grime, floor wax, paint and other stuff i dont even know what it was! granted it took a while to clean the whole 400 sq ft area but after we were done we saved $1000 on a new floor in our living room! the floor looks almost new!
so with this one product i saved a ton of money that i didn't have! the house still needs a few things replaced but that is stuff the steamer cant help with. all in all if i could i would buy another so that i could keep one in the garage so my husband could clean more often out there (i wont let him take it out anymore). i would also buy one for everyone i know!

I watched the infomercial on the Shark Steamer and I was so excited to buy it. I am quite disappointed with it. Since I bought it about six months ago I hardly ever use any of the pockets. It is much easier to do it the old fashioned way with a rag and cleaner. The scrubber pocked does NOT clean as good as it says on tv and just the basic steamer does not have nearly as much steam as other products I use. Also I can put my hand in front of the steam that is how cool it is. This product is ok. Its not even close to being worth eighty dollars but it is ok.

i'm not that impressed with the product. for starters, the shape of the unit does not allow it to stand erect when placed on a surface. too many qccessories that have no conceivable purpose. when calling the company to get some insight as to the purpose of some of the accessories included, i was NOT treated like a customer. in fact, was told if i didn't like the product, just return it! in those words!
when asked to speak to a supervisor after telling the first rep that i wasn't calling because i wanted to return it, i certainly would have done that without a phone call, i was told that HE, indeed, was the supervisor. yeah, right! i really believed that one considering the fact his English was so poor i could barely understand him!
so do i recommend anyone purchasing this product from this company, no, absolutely not. a company that has such disdain for its customers, deserves to not have any!!!!

Great product. I use it to steam my clothes- I no longer need to dry clean. Took stains out of my couch and mattress. The brush attachment works great as well.
